How Subdomains Are Used in Gemini HQ

January 02, 20262 min read

What’s happening

During setup in Gemini HQ, you may see or be asked to configure subdomains for pages, funnels, or email sending.

This is normal and part of how Gemini HQ keeps different functions organized and protected.

Subdomains are often introduced during onboarding, domain connection, or email verification.

Why this happens

Subdomains allow Gemini HQ to separate key functions while still operating under your main domain.

This separation:

  • Protects your main domain’s reputation

  • Improves email deliverability

  • Keeps website traffic, funnels, and email activity from interfering with each other

  • Adds an extra layer of security and control

Each subdomain serves a specific purpose rather than mixing everything under one root domain.

What to check

Confirm which subdomain is assigned to pages versus email sending and that DNS records match the intended use.

Before assuming there is an issue, confirm the following:

  • Which subdomain is assigned to websites or funnels

  • Which subdomain is assigned to email sending

  • DNS records (CNAME, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) match the intended function

  • Records were added to the correct domain or subdomain

  • DNS changes have had enough time to propagate

Most verification issues come from records being added to the wrong place.

Example

Using mail.yourdomain.com or send.yourdomain.com for email sending keeps your email reputation separate from your main website traffic.

If email issues occur, they do not impact your primary domain or website performance.

This separation is intentional and recommended.

What this does NOT mean

This does not mean:

  • You are creating multiple websites

  • Your brand is being split

  • Visitors see different domains unexpectedly

  • Emails are being sent from a random address

Subdomains remain fully connected to your primary domain.

When to contact Support

Contact Support if something is not functioning as intended within your plan’s defined scope.

For next steps, review the Gemini HQ Support Center and Support Policies, as support availability and response scope vary by Support Plan.
